Load Damper

Our Load Damper offers hydraulic damping for wheel loaders, front loaders, and forklifts. It can of course also be fitted to the lifting cylinder of a crane, but in that case it’s better to choose a Crane Damper.

You work a great deal with your machine and it’s important that the two of you can continue for many years to come. With our dampers, both you and your machine are protected from fatigue.

SIMPLE UNDERLYING PRINCIPLE, TRICKY TO ACHIEVE

Hultdins’ Load Damper is based on pre-charged accumulators with specially adapted throttle valves. To make a comparison with the wheel suspension of a car, the accumulator can be compared to the spring and the throttle valve to the shock absorber. Correctly configured, they ensure good handling and a comfortable ride. Too large an accumulator with the wrong throttling offers the same experience as a 1956 Buick – a soft and comfortable ride in the straights, but terrible when cornering.

EFFECTIVE DAMPING REGARDLESS OF LOAD

Near or far, empty or full – the Load Damper always dampens evenly regardless. If you only work with the same load at the exact same distance, you only need one accumulator, but that’s not a real world scenario. The Load Damper is available with up to four accumulators, enabling damping across the board.

EASILY FITTED, OPTIONAL ELECTRIC SHUTOFF

You quite simply mount the damper on the machine’s hydraulic lifting cylinder. An optional electric shutoff is also available. You can turn the damper on and off without the load arms changing position, thanks to a specially developed valve.

DAMPING SAVES TIME AND EXTENDS SERVICE LIFE

A damped machine is a stable machine, a machine that is easy to control. You can also work substantially faster with a damper fitted; it absorbs all bumps and jolts. This saves time and even extends the productive time of both you and your machine. The crane and lifting arms are spared fatigue damage and you are spared tiring vibrations.
